So its Monday, aka International chest day and unfortunately, your chest day has fallen on this day too!
You look round, the Chest press is taken, Pec Deck is taken, the benches and dumbbells are taken. BUT you look over and see the cables are free!
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
-Mimic Chest Press on the cable machine by using the handle attachments, adjusting the height of the handles to your chest and inverting the handles, so you are keeping your elbows relatively close to yourtorso.
Mimic Pecfly's on the cable machine by using the handle attachments, adjusting the height of the handles to your chest and having the handles on a wide setting.
IT GOES FUTHER
So what if the cable machine is also taken?
Press-ups are an alternative to the chest press
Plate presses are an alternative to chest fly
You CAN and WILL have a highly effective workout swapping exercises if you can't get on to the equipment you were planning to!
In fact, you may find that because your body isn't used to those exercises, you OBLITERATE those muscle groups by doing different exercises to target them.
THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE FOR CHEST EXERCISES; THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES FOR EVERY MUSCLE GROUP!
